Chicago Police Shot a Robbery Suspect on the South Side


The ugliness of Chicago’s violence has once again ruined what would otherwise be a beautiful day.

Police and U.S. Marshals say they were trying to execute a search warrant this morning on the Far South Side when the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Terrick Beaslee, took off, Beaslee was wanted for robbery and probation violations.

During the foot chase the offender stopped and pointed a weapon at an officer, according to police. That officer opened fire; witnesses heard one to three shots fired. The man was hit in the stomach, but he’s in stable condition at Christ Medical Center. His family says they’ve gotten no updated information.

A witness who didn’t want to be identified told us police searched her yard after the shooting. Police say they did find a gun. Continue Reading
