Chicago Police officers on Patrol spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed down the 5900 block of S Kedzie. Officers activated emergency equipment then attempted to curb the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle refused to comply speeding through several red lights eventually crashing into another vehicle on the 4500 block of South Cicero fleeing from Police. The 22-year-old male and his passenger a 26-year-old female were in the fleeing vehicle both minor injuries the male was taken to Holy Cross and the female was taken to Mt. Sinai. The vehicle they struck injured the driver a 69-year-old man and his passenger a 67-year-old female were both taken to McNeal hospital with Non-Life threatening injuries. From the looks of the Suvs roof he must have rolled that vehicle once or maybe twice after he hit the curb.
There was also a dog that was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit by the fleeing vehicle I am happy to report the dog was not injured in the crash the 22 year old driver that fled was taken into custody by Chicago police.
