A 4-year-old boy was shot while standing outside his home Wednesday evening.

Police scoured the street, searching for and counting the shell casings left on the ground.

Witnesses say the gunman may have been riding a bike at the time of the shooting, but police are not confirming that yet.

Community activist Andrew Holmes says people are fed up after yet another child is shot. They want the person who was possibly the target to come forward.

“Another one?” one woman said. “We were just talking about this at lunch.”

The boy is at least the fourth child 8 years old or younger to be shot on the South Side in the last eight days. Continue Reading
