11 Shot across Chicago Tuesday including Two boys, 14 and 15

Two boys, 14 and 15, were wounded an hour apart on the West and South sides of Chicago, among at least 11 people shot across the city between early Tuesday and early Wednesday, according to police.

At one point overnight, police responded to three shootings that occurred at the same time in the South Chicago, Avalon Park and Lawndale neighborhoods.

The 14-year-old was shot around 9:50 a.m. in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side, police said. The boy was sitting on the front porch of a home in the 5000 block of South Drexel Avenue when someone in a black sedan fired shots, police said.

The teen was hit in the left leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was reported stable.

The man was hit in the chest and was dead on the scene, police said.
